- Dogs and Campfire Winter Trial
You asked… (again and again)… and we listened!
This winter, Barwon Heads Caravan Park is trialling two exciting guest requests –
campfires and dog-friendly camping – and we can’t wait for you (and your furry friend) to join us.
From Thursday 12 June, to Friday 12 September, 2025, you and your pooch can enjoy the stunning Barwon River and coastal surrounds together during our off-peak season.
Think long beach walks, tranquil riverside sunsets, and cosy evenings by the fire – all with your dog by your side.
The trial will take place during the quieter winter months in designated dog and campfire-friendly section/s of the park, as agreed with the CFA. This approach allows us to explore the possibility of welcoming dogs and campfires more broadly in future, while still respecting the needs of guests who prefer a pet-free environment.
So, find a good marshmallow stick, and get ready for a tail-wagging good time!
Trial dates: Thursday 12 June – Friday 12 September 2025
Dog trial
We’re welcoming dogs on selected powered sites during our quieter winter months — so your pooch can join you on a seaside escape filled with beach walks, riverside play and starry nights.
Barwon Coast is excited to explore how dogs and camping can go paw-in-paw in the Barwon Heads Caravan Park.
