This is Wadawurrung Country
We acknowledge the marine and coastal environment of the southern Bellarine Peninsula as the traditional lands and sea of the Wadawurrung and recognise the Wadawurrung people as Traditional Owners. The Barwon Heads Caravan Park is located upon these lands today.
The coastline and marine environment in and around Barwon Heads Caravan Park are rich in Aboriginal culture, and we pay respects to Wadawurrung Elders past present and future; and the Elders from other communities who may visit Barwon Heads Caravan Park.
We acknowledge Aboriginal people as Australia’s first people, and the Wadawurrung as Traditional Owners and custodians of the land on which we work and our guests stay. We recognise the intrinsic connection to Country, acknowledging the contribution of Traditional Owners to the management of land, water, the natural landscape and our built environment.
We also recognise the legislative obligations to Traditional Owners and the Registered Aboriginal Party, the Wadawurrung Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation which are paramount in our responsibilities in managing Barwon Heads Caravan Park.
We hope you enjoy your stay at Barwon Heads Caravan Park and take time to consider and acknowledge the First People’s of the land and sea.
